Character Background and Description In the big televised races, each country has a group of racers they send to represent them in the competition. Countries have their own colors and tags so viewers can easily spot specific racers in the fast-paced chaos. But in the past few months, a mysterious car was on the starting line, causing a stir amongst viewers and officials alike. The racers on either side tried to get a glimpse in, but the windows were dark and the driver wore a black helmet. This all black car, sleeker than the designs on MINOS, squashed the competition and came in first, despite the joint efforts of multiple teams to stop the Stowaway, as they were referred to in papers. They didn't appear in consecutive races, but rather sporadically, and always disappeared before they could be stopped and discovered. When they finally caught them, Ons was discovered. An alien from the Andromeda system. After her, the people of MINOS have been forced to reconcile with aliens who are starting to come into contact with the moon base. Ons might have been the first, but she certainly won't be last.
Ons is slightly taller than the average human, with longer limbs and light multicolored skin in shades of blue, pink, and purple. She comes from a highly socialized society, and sees the humans of MINOS as funny and childlike. She is an engineer upon a spacecraft that was traveling intergalactically when it picked up the signal of some of MINOS's off-planet mining ships. Using anti-detection and cloaking technology, she and some of her crew landed undetected on the moonbase, and observed their society. The ship and half its crew returned to their home system to report their findings, and Ons elected to stay with a few other members. A few other aliens appeared on the moonbase and a tiny colony was formed as they felt safer with numbers, and for a while didn't interact with humans without cloaking devices.
Ons is incredibly smart, and she's fascinated by the technology on MINOS, which she finds primitive in scope and aesthetic, but strangely endearing. She learned very quickly how the racecars work and built her own out of materials left behind by their ship for the group to start building.
